Mark Darby is Founder & Principal of ALLIANTIST.

Prior to ALLIANTIST Mark led the UK extended enterprise consulting activity for Deloitte, and before that designed and built Reuters first global alliance programme.
At Deloitte he designed the first Collaborative Procurement Hub in Greater Manchester for the NHS, and developed the global governance model for BT and HP that now sees hundreds of millions of dollars flow through their joint alliance.
ALLIANTIST current clients who are drawing on his alliance and partnering expertise include BT with their Partner of Choice Programme as described earlier. The National Probation Service has recently engaged ALLIANTIST to build a learning & development programme and alliance toolkit as they are embarking on a programme of partnerships to meet new Govt targets.
These partnerships deal with Offenders so can have material consequences if they fail, hence why NPS has selected Mark Darby as a leader in this field. Other clients include Reckitt Benckiser, the FTSE 25 company behind brands such as Finish and Vanish. Smaller but none the less important clients are Brightwell, a dispensing equipment manufacturer who has achieved top line growth of 20% since engaging ALLIANTIST, having experienced flat revenues for the previous four years, and FDM, an AiM listed IT services firm who have seen significant returns from their investments.
Mark has operated for nearly twenty years across the value chain as advisor, supplier, customer and partner in working with global and international organisations like HP, Deloitte, Reuters, Cisco, IBM, Siebel, Fujitsu, The Rank Group, BT, the UK Public Sector and many small and medium size enterprises so is well placed to share his experience

Mark is the author of ALLIANCE BRAND, the book that demonstrates how to get a positive reputation and results from alliances.
It was published by John Wiley and Sons the leading global business book publisher on July 14th 2006 and is available on Amazon. Mark is also a contributing author of the 2007 MBA programme for alliances, JVs and acquisitions for Henley Management College, one of Europe's leading education institutions.
Mark also has an MBA from the University of Reading where he carried out extensive research on alliances.
He is a Member of the Institute of Directors, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply as well as a Member of Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (A.S.A.P.) and ex Board Director of the European branch of A.S.A.P.
Mark is also a regular speaker on alliances for bodies such as the IACCM (International Association of Contract and Commercial Managers and has been published in a number of business journals and magazines.
