Chris Hudd


Chris is a founding partner and Co-director of Springboard Commercial Solutions Ltd. In his role as director of training and development Chris has trained sales professionals across many industry sectors and markets across Europe.

Chris's expertise is focused on bespoke commercial training and is founded upon a career spanning both UK & Spanish major account management and pan European sales development roles for major FMCG companies.

Relevant Experience

Prior to setting up Springboard, Chris worked for Diageo as a part of the "Diageo Way of Brand Building through Customers"a global sales initiative.

Prior to the above role Chris was part of the European headquarters sales development team at Seagram wines and spirits and was responsible for the development of sales skills across Europe.

Prior to working for Seagram Chris worked in senior sales roles for Guinness Brewing, these included both personal management of major UK and Spanish retailers and a pan European Off Premise Controller role.

Chris has had significant exposure to both direct selling and sales via third parties ~ he worked extensively with major distributors across Europe to develop the Guinness Off Premise business and headed a cross functional team which developed the "Seagram Way of Distributor Management"

Education, professional training, affiliations and leadership positions

Chris holds a BSC in Marketing and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Chris continues to develop new thinking in the training and development arena and has had many articles published in professional publications such as :

  • Pharmaceutical Executive Europe ~ Commercial lessons from the merchant class ~ Sept 2006
  • Pharma Focus ~ Developing Home Grown Talent within a Commercial Leadership Programme ~ October 2006.
